Frequently asked questions
Does BudgetFuture connect to my bank account?
No. BudgetFuture never connects to any bank or financial institution. You enter your figures yourself, and everything stays stored locally on your device.
Is my data backed up anywhere?
Not to any server BudgetFuture controls — there isn't one. You can export everything to a file yourself from Export / Import in the menu, and save it wherever you like. Separately, if you have iCloud Backup enabled, your data may be included in your device's own iCloud backup, the same as any other app. Taking your own export occasionally is the reliable option, since it's the only copy you control directly.
What happens after my free trial?
Your entries stay fully visible in read-only mode — nothing is deleted or hidden. Upgrading to Premium removes the trial's planning-window limits with a single one-time purchase (no subscription).
How do I move my data to a new phone?
Use Export / Import in the menu. Export on your old phone and save the file somewhere you can reach it — your Files app, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop it straight across. Then install BudgetFuture on the new phone and choose Import From File.
Can I use BudgetFuture on both my iPhone and iPad?
You can, and you can copy your data across using Export / Import — but the two devices then keep their own separate copies. There's no live sync, so a change made on one won't appear on the other; you'd need to export and import again. Automatic sync isn't available at this time.
